blues
facility refresh
/ art direction

I was tasked with updating the interiors of the Blues head quarters, guided by a relatively open brief: to represent our key purpose of ‘Blue Everywhere’ by instilling ‘Blue Pride’ in our region and beyond. The project began with a planning and research group consisting of staff and players from across the organisation, where we distilled elements that would resonate and help achieve our goals. The video and graphics showcase phase one of this project, where we developed walls around high traffic areas within the facility. Walls that feature in this phase include: a “time line wall” that calls out key moments in the clubs history; a “facility wall” that tells the story of the building’s unique architectural features that represent it’s geographical location; a” region wall” that calls out every club represented by our provincial unions - so visitors from all around our region can locate their specific club; “players of the year wall” showcasing our standout men’s and women’s players each year; and a “centurions wall” that displays our players that have reached the 100 games milestone. Other areas that have also been developed in phase one are the foyer, which is still being finished, and the team room.
